Coordinator and Senior Research Fellow
Mr. Tumusiime is the Coordinator and senior research fellow for ANARDE. He is also a senior partner at Frank Tumusiime & Company Advocates a law office that specializes in strategic public litigation in the natural resources sector. Mr. Tumusiime has not only under taken and published various studies in the oil and gas sub sector but also attended various trainings as well as served as a facilitator to among others members of the Uganda Law Society Members of Parliament and various civil society organizations. He holds a Master of Laws and is an enrolled and a practicing Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and other Courts subordinate thereto.
Accountant She is an affiliate of Certified Public Accountants (U). She holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration (finance) from Makerere University Business School. She handles financial preparations for the organization which involves compiling financial statements, tracking revenue generation, as well as ensuring all tax documents are properly filed. She acts as the liaison between the external audit team and the internal accounting department.
Program Officer – Nature Conservation
Joseph Ahimbisibwe holds a bachelor’s degree of science in Petroleum Geosciences and Production. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree of science in Environment and Natural Resource Management at Makerere University.
He has interested himself in natural resource governance, conservation and management, and has devoted his career towards finding resourceful means of preservation of fragile ecosystems sustainably.
Research fellow
Bakulumpagi Kevin is an advocate of the High Court of Uganda. He has engaged in litigation regarding Economic Social and Cultural rights majorly on the right to a clean and healthy environment.
He holds a masters degree in East African community law with specification to economic instruments of environmental conservation.
He has an interest in environmental law and bringing to life legal principles of environmental conservation. He is also keen on Public Interest Litigation as a means to achieve justice for the community, which is often unaware that it possess rights and can enforce the same.
Gender research assistant
Ashaha Rinah is a Gender research assistant of ANARDE field office Moroto District, who has a passion and interest in human rights and women rights.
She is a graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Law.
Legal Officer
Emmanuel Achellam a lawyer by profession. He obtained his bachelors degree in Law from Makerere university in 2018 and Post graduate diploma in Legal practice in 2019.
Financial officer
Isaac Muyenzi Mugunga is an affiliate of ACCA. He has a wealth of experience dealing with various sectors especially in Audit and NGO Finance management.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Makerere University.
He engages in budget preparations, preparation of financial reports, and enforcing financial controls.

Program Asst. ANARDE
Mr. Muya James (Jemo) holds a Certificate in Environmental Health and Management and a graduate in Development studies. He is also the Supervisor and Head of Paralegals/Community Volunteers of ANARDE in Karamoja.
He has experience of over 5 years in community engagements with the local communities of Karamoja on Sensitization and community awareness sessions, and dialogues on Natural Resource and extractive industry. He is passionate in Human Rights advocacy making him a Human Rights Advocate and Defender in relation to Natural Resource Governance and Extractive Industry
He is also an Environmentalist with passion to protect, conserve and Preserve environment working with ANARDE. He also has experiences on research and data collection and worked with a number of research companies, and Institutions. He possesses skills of translation skills from English to Nga’karimojong.
He has worked in Media as a radio presenter and he currently works with 88.7 Ateker Moroto FM on programs of Human Rights advocacy like “Know Your Rights”, and “Women & Development”.
